GATHER: where journeys meet.
a vision for the future
Life is better gathered.
Trail to Table began with a simple hope: for my husband to build me a barn and fill it with all the animals I've ever wanted...
As my family grew, so did the dream. The animals were still there, but alongside them were now my children running barefoot through gardens, laughing with their friends. A few years later, I left the classroom, and somehow the barn became a place for learning, too. I started imagining students gathered around long tables creating, exploring, and learning together.
Then everyone else started adding to the dream.
"And a place for people to dance to our music!" my musician husband chimed in.
“Wait...I have my yoga certification and nowhere to teach. A barn would be perfect!”
"I've been wanting to learn how to make soap—who's in?"
Somewhere along the way, my simple request for my husband to get on that dang honey-do list and "just build me a barn real quick" grew itself all the way up to the clouds.
I believe we're meant to know the people around us. To learn from one another, share our gifts, tell stories, create things with our hands, and help each other raise our kids—because community matters.
One day, I hope our land and our barn become a place where those things happen naturally. A place where people gather to share what they love and create meaningful experiences together.
Whether that's leading little ones through the ABCs (that will be me), teaching a watercolor class, playing music, baking bread, arranging flower bouquets, or simply welcoming someone new, I believe every person has something meaningful to offer. Communities grow when we're willing to both give and receive.
And in our community, everyone has a seat at the table.
Because belonging shouldn't have barriers.
So while we don't have the land yet, and the barn hasn't been built, this page is a glimpse of what's ahead. As Trail to Table grows, I'll share updates, opportunities to get involved, and ways we can begin gathering together—even before the barn is built.
Because I have a feeling the barn was never really the dream.
The dream was always the table.
A place where every trail is different, but somehow they all lead us back to one another.
Where every trail leads us to the table.
