oUR Approach

Trail to Table was founded on the belief that meaningful learning happens in relationship—with one another, around the table, and through shared experiences that build confidence, independence, and community. Homework Club brings that philosophy to life by helping 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students confidently navigate the transition to middle school through strong homework habits, executive function skills, and a supportive learning community.

  • Homework Club is about more than getting homework done. Students receive guidance as they complete assignments, build effective homework habits, and deepen their understanding of what they're learning. When needed, students receive individualized or small-group instruction to reinforce concepts and build confidence.

  • Every session strengthens planning, organization, time management, study skills, and independence. Students learn practical strategies they can use both in Homework Club and at school to become more confident, self-directed learners.

  • Our small group of just 10 students creates a community where everyone belongs. Students encourage one another, celebrate progress, and learn that asking for help—and offering it—are both important parts of becoming confident learners.

Class Size

10 students and 2 teachers to maintain a 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio.

Tuition

All Access Membership — Unlimited Tue/Thu attendance. $225/month

Flex Passes — Flexible Tue/Thu attendance for up to 10 sessions. Valid for 3 months. $320

Community Access — Limited reduced-tuition memberships available

    • 4:00 - 4:15 Check in & Executive Function mini-lesson

    • 4:15 - 5:15 Homework Support (individual and small group instruction as needed)

    • 5:15 - 5:30 Update Planners, Organize backpacks/folders/Google Drive, Plan and prioritize for the week ahead

  • Students always have meaningful learning opportunities available, including independent reading, executive function activities, extended learning projects, and helping fellow trail blazers.

  • Students who finish early support fellow Trail Blazers by encouraging classmates and talking through ideas. Teaching and explaining thinking are powerful ways to reinforce understanding while strengthening our learning community. Additional enrichment, reading, or independent learning opportunities are also available.

  • Families receive important updates and reminders through the Remind app, along with a monthly Trail Report highlighting homework habits, executive function growth, celebrations, and goals for continued growth.

  • That's exactly why Homework Club exists.

    Every student learns differently, and I believe the best place to begin is by meeting students where they are. As the parent of a sixth grader, I know firsthand that the middle school years can bring new academic challenges, changing expectations, and plenty of frustration.

    My goal is to get to know every Trail Blazer—their interests, strengths, and experiences—so learning feels relevant, engaging, and connected to their lives. When students feel seen, supported, and successful, they're much more willing to take on challenges and grow in confidence.

  • Yes! Flex Passes are available for families who need occasional or once-a-week attendance, as space allows. Sliding scale options are also available for families through our Community Access membership.

  • No. Homework Club is a drop-off program, so you're welcome to leave while your child is in session. Some students may arrive by bike or public transportation, while others will be dropped off by a parent or caregiver. At dismissal, students may be picked up or leave independently with parent permission.

    Upon registration, families will complete a transportation form outlining how their child will arrive and depart from Homework Club. Families may also communicate with the Homework Club team through the Remind app regarding transportation updates.

  • Families are encouraged to join the waitlist. We'll reach out as soon as a space becomes available. Enrollment is intentionally limited to 10 students, allowing us to maintain a 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio and provide individualized support.

Meet Kalia

Hi, I’m Kalia! I’m a licensed Colorado educator, CU academic advisor, tutor, and mom to three—ages one, three, and eleven—so I understand firsthand both the joys and challenges that come with each stage of learning and growing.

After more than a decade supporting students in literacy, mathematics, and executive function—first in the classroom and later as an academic interventionist—I know how important it is for students to feel both challenged and supported. I hold endorsements and specialized training in the Science of Reading, Math Recovery, English language learning, and trauma-informed practices.

I created Homework Club to be a place where students feel known, capable, and supported as they grow into confident, independent learners.

Homework Club is intentionally limited to 10 students to create a close-knit learning community and 5:1 student-to-educator ratio. Enrollment is offered in the order registrations are received, based on availability within each enrollment option. If the program reaches capacity, families will be notified and added to our waitlist.
